No matter how well you have designed your website if it hard to reach the content people will stop going to your website. Here are a few of my methods that I use to drive traffic to my website on a regular basis

The most important and easiest one to accomplish is make sure your content matches what the people are coming for. That is what basic web design is all about. Don't advertise dog training then have cat supplies on your website. That is just no good for anyone.

If your website is filled with lots of valuable information learn to how to spread it evenly so it does not look like just a mountain to climb. Have short and precise paragraphs. The longer a single line of text is, the greater the line-height of each line should be. When looking at your website through a visitors eyes check to see if the font is to big or to small.. We have all seen those sites with ridiculously small text or huge type. You just turn around to never come back again.

There is no sense in making the content hard to access on your website. In basic web design you do not want to create a complicated website. Create the website so at the click of a button they will be able to reach it.If you have thousands of articles of pages of content it is wise to use a search engine on your website. If you do not want to have a search engine make sure you have a highly organized glossary so people can easily access what they want to in a matter of seconds.

When creating your website design it in a way that will allow to upload fast and easily. You don't want your visitors to wait more then 10 seconds for each webpage to upload. In a matter of minutes you will lose that visitor, if not in 10 seconds.

Last and most importantly when you have completely uploaded your website. Make sure that all of the links on your website are working. The worst possible think to happen is you have just received thousands of visitors and the information they are trying to is not available to them. That is a big No No in basic web design
